Newley Discovered & Previously Unrecorded

30946/354 No9 Commando Attributed Wilkinson First Pattern F-S Fighting Knife

Wilkinson 30946/354 First Pattern F-S Fighting Knife

Price: $

Ref: 8035

The mystery surrounding the 30946 numbered First Patterns has finally been solved - to view the full ‘published article’ or the ‘web-article’ click on the desired link.

This newly discovered knife was recently found in a ‘tool box’..!  It’s serial number is 354 and is previously unrecorded, so it completely new to the collectors market.  The discovery of this latest numbered knife brings my records of known examples up to forty.  No scabbard with this knife and the condition is understandably not perfect, however it is completely original, solid and honest, a ‘very’ rare example.  The blade shows a length of 6¼ ” and has a blunt tip.  Both etchings are clear, strong and readable.  Some signs of wear, use, sharpening and small areas of plating loss.  The pommel nut it totally intact and original.
