A Wilkinson First Pattern F-S Fighting Knife and some personal possessions belonging to Sergeant Dennis Harry Slaughter of the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers and also No2 Commando.  Of interest on this knife is the cross-guard has been assembled the wrong way around, this has only been noted on a few examples and represents a production oversight.  This First Pattern if one of ‘two’ such knives that are known to have been owned by Slaughter.  To find such an historic First Pattern with related items is a find indeed.
