Corporal Herbert Cyril Lowis, service number 7893091, enlisted in the Royal Armored Corps (R.A.C.) but later served in the Burma campaign with the Chindits.  Having qualified as a farrier in his previous regiment his skill working with the all important mules in this unit coming to the fore.  His well used First Pattern is shown below along with his original rare Chindit patch and many other items relating to his service and also his post war membership of the Burma Star Association and the Chindit Old Comrades Association.
